Buying Directly from a Farmer - Why Do It?
Lamb Recipes and Cuts from the Butcher

We specialize in Katahdin/Dorper cross sheep which have a mild flavor and less fat than the typical American lamb. Our pasture-raised lambs are antibiotic-free.

Price: $5.00 per pound, hanging weight*
Plus: Approx. $72.50 for the butcher (paid directly)

*Average hanging weight is 35-40 pounds. Final average cost, once bones are removed (resulting in approximately 25-30 pounds of meat), comes out to about $9-$10 per pound. That includes the processing cost.

To give you a visual for your freezer, a lamb fills about two paper grocery sacks. We don't sell partial lambs but you can certainly work out something with friends or co-workers. Please let us know what you are looking for, and we will do our best to accommodate.

Customers may also choose to purchase a live lamb for $2.50 per pound, live weight. Please contact the farm to make arrangements: (541) 487-4966, between 10am - 4pm.

About the Butcher

We use 4 Star Meat, a processor located in Eugene that comes out to the farm. We feel that beginning the processing here at the farm is more humane than transporting via trailer to a facility. We like to think the grown lambs had a wonderful life here with us! You'll pay 4 Star directly for their services.

Pick-up and Delivery

You are welcome to pick up your order directly from the butcher in Eugene (4 Star Meat, 90362 Prairie Rd, Eugene, OR 97402, Phone: (541) 689-1350)
We will also make deliveries to a few centralized locations within the Willamette Valley and the Alsea/Coastal Range area towards Waldport. We will be arranging one delivery date in Portland for a small fee, please ask for details.
